Even before Game released his first studio album, he has been among the most revered artists in rap. Signed to Dr. Dre in the early 2000s, Game exploded on the music scene in 2004 as the most dynamic member of 50 Cent’s G-Unit collective. With the release of Game’s debut album, 2005’s blockbuster The Documentary, the rapper became the first platinum artist to emerge from the West Coast in several years.
The Game's 2005 debut, The Documentary solidified a spot in the classic ranks of hiphop. Five albums and ten years later, Game is musically returning to where it all started with The Documentary 2. This collection is inspired by that return.

Ahead of The Documentary 2, Games released Year of the Wolf a new compilation featuring artists from his Blood Money record label. That album dropped in October. The Documentary 2 is Game's first solo studio album since 2012's Jesus Piece.
