My second freelance job was writing for Transworld Skateboarding. I was put on assignment to cover Hip-Hop but I was just happy to get free music and free Transworlds. A few years later, I got a REAL job at a advertising agency in San Diego. What do these two things have in common? Skin Phillips. He was Editor-In-Chief of Transworld and he was the point person at Airwalk when my ad agency worked on Airwalk. I respected this person from afar and now he's running Adidas Skateboarding--they are in good hands.
